Annual WCEE Woman of the Year Award Ceremony and Gala

Our 29th annual event was held on Thursday, March 11, 2010. This year's recipient is Maggie L. Fox, President and CEO, The Alliance for Climate Protection. Ms. Fox is a veteran of numerous national issues, political and environmental campaigns and has spent 30 years working to mobilize Americans to take action.

Also honored at this event is Suedeen Kelly as a WCEE Champion. WCEE created the Champion Award in 1998 as a means of recognizing the importance of mentors for women professionals and to honor those individuals who have championed the advancement of women in our industries.

This year's event was held at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel, 1127 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington, DC, 20036.

The Women's Council on Energy and the Environment (WCEE) is a non-partisan, policy-neutral organization that focuses on women, energy and the environment.

WCEE is a member-driven organization that values the diversity of our membership and our substantive programming. We are recognized in Washington, D.C. as a respected voice in the fields of energy and the environment.
