Gulf Oil Spill - Impacts and Costs

The April 20, 2010 explosion and subsequent collapse of the Deepwater Horizon rig which killed eleven people has resulted in the release of an estimated 100 million gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico. It is now the worst oil spill in the United States to date. The impacts and costs of the spill continue to accumulate and broaden, even as the rate of spilling oil declines.
This Brown Bag lunch presentation, the first in a series of programs which will examine issues relating to the spill, will focus on impacts and costs. Please join us as our panelists examine the local, regional, and international environmental and economic consequences of this incident.
